The Dimension BST (Breakaway Support Technology) is the lowest-priced office friendly machine of its kind. Priced at $18,900*, the Dimension BST represents a major price breakthrough, powered by leading Stratasys technology.

The Dimension BST incorporates the same technology as the Dimension SST (Soluble Support technology) and therefore produces the same high-quality ABS models. the difference is that the Dimension BST features a manual support removal process where the designer removes the model from the system and breaks the support away by hand.

Automatic Operation:
Catalyst® EX software automatically imports STL files, orients the part, slices the file, generates support structures (if necessary), and creates a precise deposition path to build your ABSplus model. Multiple models can be packed within the build envelope to maximize efficiency. Catalyst® EX provides queue management capabilities, build time, material status and system status information. Dimension 3D Printers run unattended and provide system and build status information via e-mail, pager, or the Internet.

Dimension SST Printers

(Soluble Support Technology)

The Dimension SST (Soluble Support Technology) incorporates the same technology as the original Dimension BST (Breakaway Support Technology) and therefore produces the same high-quality ABS and ABSplus models. The difference is that Dimension SST features an automated support removal process.

The designer simply removes the model from the system and places the model into an SST Station. An SST Station is an agitation system that utilizes hot water and a soap bath to automatically wash away the support structures. Essentially, the Dimension SST allows for "hands free" printing.

Dimension SST printers are network compatible and produce durable working models from ABSplus with the click of a button. Once the model is printed, simply remove the model from the printer, dissolve away the supports and begin using the functional model.
