Moldflow Part Adviser

The Moldflow Part Adviser™ module is the ideal tool to quickly check the manufacturability of your plastic part design when the cost of change is least — early in the design process. Users can get rapid feedback on how modifications to wall thickness, gate locations, material or geometry can affect the filling pattern and pressure and temperature distributions in the part cavity. Moldflow Mold Adviser

The Moldflow Mold Adviser™ module extends the capabilities of the Moldflow Part Adviser to allow you to create and simulate plastic flow through single cavity, multi-cavity and family molds. Users can optimize gate type, size and location as well as runner layout, size and cross-sectional shape. Analysis results include cycle time, clamp tonnage, and shot size, all of which help the design-to-manufacturing team size the injection molding machine, minimize cycle times and reduce manufacturing waste. Optional Moldflow Mold Adviser add-on modules allow users to simulate more phases of the injection molding process and evaluate molded part performance and cooling circuit design.

MPA 8.1 delivers part-only analysis capabilities, including Advanced Geometry Adviser, Gate Location, Molding Window, Plastic Filling, Cooling Quality and Sink Marks analyses. NEW 3D SOLUTION DELIVERS OPTIMAL RESULTS FOR THICK SOLID GEOMETRIES – Optional, Advanced 3D technology allows accurate analysis of parts that have thick, solid regions or excessive variations in part thickness. Models that in previous MPA releases were evaluated as ‘not suitable’ can now be reliably analyzed with the Advanced 3D technology. New Optimal Technology Solution (OTS) automatically checks model suitability to determine which of standard, Dual Domain or new, Advanced 3D analysis technologies is appropriate to use to achieve optimal results.

MORE EFFICIENT, PANEL-BASED USER INTERFACE – Panel-based design streamlines workflow, provides uninterrupted access to the model, and improves overall user productivity. Multiple panels, each with a specific focus, combine to create a highly efficient user paradigm. New project management architecture introduces an effective method of organizing various studies performed within a single project.

IMPROVED RESULTS VISUALIZATION OPTIONS – Review results summary while simultaneously interacting with the model. Compare analysis results from two or more models to realize design improvement.
